The Black Caucus’ mission is to promote the political, economic and social advancement of Blacks in Fairfax County by increasing the number of Black Fairfax County Democratic Committee members and, through education and training, the number of Blacks seeking and holding elected and appointed positions within the county.
To educate, empower and engage Black residents in the political process, to include hosting informational forums, voter education & registration, community outreach, and training.
Increase representation in political offices, both elected and paid.
Facilitate the exchange of ideas that impact the African American community.
Increase empowerment and motivation to be involved in the political process, and the promotion of position and ideas.
Develop leadership at all levels from within the community.
A joint meeting with the Arlington Dems Black Caucus. We kicked off our first meeting of the new year with special guests, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and Rep. Don Beyer.
A joint virtual dinner discussion with Providence Dems. Special guest Judge Rohulamin Quander discusses his book, The Quanders - Since 1864:An Enduring African-American Legacy. Purchase the book through this link and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Black Caucus.
